Build Self Confidence Instantly

One needs to build self confidence as it will make all the difference between feeling scared and feeling unstoppable. The better the perception we have about ourselves, the better the perception of the world around us will be. And this will increase the likelihood of success we have. There are external factors we can’t control but we can try the things in our control to build self confidence.

Dress Well

While a good suit wouldn’t change the person inside, but it makes the person wearing it feel good. And a person who feels good can carry himself with confidence. We can achieve a lot of improvements, just by shaving regularly and wearing clean clothes. It’s better to buy a few premium clothes than buying a lotto cheap ones. Get a custom tailored suit for yourself. Less clothes will also have less clutter in your physical space as well as your mental space.

Walk Fast

People who work slow are looked upon as less energetic and careless. But people walking fast look like they have something important to do, or somewhere important to go. Walking 20 steps or more a minute is a good start.

Maintain Posture

The way a person maintains his/her posture can tell a lot about them. People who slouch their body will be looked upon like they slouch in work too. While people keeping a straight posture, with the head high and making proper eye-contact are the ones exuberate self-confidence.

Personal Introduction

Create a personal introduction speech of around 30-60 seconds for yourself. Recite it multiple times to get it imprinted in the mind. If possible, create a small video on it. The speech should contain highlights about you and your achievements. This will make sure that you don’t fumble when you have to introduce yourself somewhere.

Practice Gratitude

While focusing on things that we want, it’s very easy to forget about what we already have. The lack mindset is going to create a negative aura in our mind. The best way is to be thankful about what we already have and showing gratitude for it.

Compliment

If we are negative about ourselves, we normally project that on to other people. This results in insulting and gossiping about other people. Always avoid this, and instead compliment them. By look at the best of others, we would be indirectly getting the best of ourselves.

Front Bencher

While most of our life, we have strived to become a back-bencher, it would be better to become front-bencher to get the inner confidence. This will decrease your fear, and you would be more visible to the people organising the talk.

Start Speaking

A lot of people don’t speak up in group discussions, to avoid being judged for speaking up something stupid. So it’s better to speak up as everyone is thinking the same thing. And the more you speak, the more confident you will become.

Exercise

If we are out of shape, we are definitely going to feel insecure. So work on the body, and it is going to positively affect your mind. This will increase confidence.

Contribute

While we look inwards most of the time, we should also introspect on what is happening outside. The things we are taking for granted in our life, are luxuries for more than 50% of the world population. So see how you can contribute for a better world. The more you give, the more you are going to get back.
